They have different answers, so they are handled separately below.
How the website works
TV Garden is a directory. It lists channels by country and opens a player pointed at a stream address published by someone else. It does not host, upload, re-encode or store any video, and streams do not pass through our servers — your browser connects to the source directly.
This is why an individual channel can break with nothing having changed here, and it is also why the privacy questions below split into "the site" and "the stream source".
Optional accounts
You can browse countries and watch channels without any account. Signing in is optional.
If you do create an account, the email address and password you provide are processed so you can sign in later. If you would rather not share an email address, simply do not create an account — the viewing experience does not require one.
What is stored in your browser
The site keeps a small amount of information in your browser's local storage so it behaves sensibly between visits:
- Sign-in tokens, only if you are logged in.
- A generated device identifier.
- Your saved favorites.
- Recently recorded channel status, so lists do not need rechecking constantly.
- Small interface preferences such as player volume.
All of it stays on your device. Clearing site data for this site in your browser removes it, including your favorites — they are not held on a server, which is also why they do not follow you to another browser or computer.
Third-party streams
This is the part most worth understanding. When you open a channel, your browser makes a direct connection to a third-party server that we do not own or operate. From that moment, that provider's own practices apply to the connection, not ours.
Listing a channel is not an endorsement of the operator behind it, and does not imply any affiliation with or licence from that broadcaster.
What stream providers can see
A direct connection means the stream provider can see the technical details any web server sees when you connect to it — including your IP address, roughly when you connected, and basic information your browser sends.
We cannot prevent that, and we will not claim your IP address is hidden or never shared. If that matters to you, the usual privacy tools are your decision to use. Be aware they may cut both ways: a VPN may restore access to a region-restricted stream and may equally break one that would otherwise work. Using them remains subject to local law and to the terms of the source you are connecting to.

Channel information comes from publicly available third-party sources. The site links out to its data source in the footer. Anything you reach by leaving this site is governed by that destination's own terms and privacy practices.
The official Android app
An Android app is being prepared. It has not been released publicly yet, there is no verified Google Play link to share at this stage, and no release date has been announced.
When it is published, the verified link will appear on the app page on this domain. That page is the reference point — if a link does not come from there, treat it as unverified.
Third-party APK files
There is no official public APK. We do not distribute one, and we do not approve any third-party download that presents itself as the TV Garden app.
We are not accusing any particular site of anything — we simply have no way to verify what a file hosted elsewhere contains. A filename or an icon proves nothing about what is inside. The safe position while no official release exists is to use the website in a browser, which needs no installation at all.
Is TV Garden legal?
We cannot give you a yes or no that holds everywhere, and anyone who does is overreaching. The site itself is a directory of publicly reachable streams and hosts no content. What differs by country is whether accessing a particular broadcast is permitted, and that is set by local law and by the rights the broadcaster holds — not by us.
