How to Watch TV Garden on PC and Mac

A desktop browser is where TV Garden behaves most predictably: keyboard shortcuts work, fullscreen is reliable, and browser tools make problems easy to diagnose. This guide covers day-to-day use on Windows and macOS plus the fixes specific to each.

Open TV Garden in a browser

There is nothing to install on Windows or macOS. Open tvgarden.co in a browser and the whole service is there. A desktop browser is also where the site behaves best: keyboard shortcuts work, fullscreen is dependable, and when something goes wrong you have real tools to find out why.

Which browser to use

Any current mainstream browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or another Chromium-based browser — should handle the site. What matters is that it is up to date, because media playback support changes with browser versions far more than with operating system versions.

We do not claim one browser is officially supported over another. If a stream works in one browser but not another, the difference likely comes from browser media support, settings or extensions.

Choose a country

The home page lists countries as cards. Click one to load its channels in place, or open it in a new tab with Ctrl-click on Windows or Cmd-click on macOS to go straight to that country's own page — useful when comparing two countries side by side.

Country pages have permanent addresses, so they can be bookmarked and shared directly.

Using the player

Clicking a channel opens its page with the player at the top. Sound starts off — browsers block auto-playing audio, so this is expected rather than a bug. Use the unmute control to bring the audio in.

Related channels appear below the player, which is the quickest route to something similar when a stream disappoints.

Fullscreen playback

Use the player's fullscreen toggle, or press F. Leave fullscreen with Esc or by pressing F again.

On a multi-monitor setup, fullscreen applies to the display holding the browser window. Move the window before going fullscreen if you want it elsewhere.

Favorites

Channel cards carry a star control that adds or removes the channel from your Favorites list, reachable from the header.

Favorites live in your browser rather than on a server. They do not sync between Chrome and Safari, or between your desktop and your laptop, and clearing site data for this site removes them.

Keyboard shortcuts

These work while the player is on screen:

  • Space — pause or resume
  • F — toggle fullscreen
  • M — toggle mute
  • — forward 10 seconds, where the stream allows seeking
  • — back 10 seconds, where the stream allows seeking
  • Esc — leave fullscreen
Shortcuts are ignored while the cursor is in a search box or dropdown, so typing a channel name will not pause the video. Live streams often cannot seek, in which case the arrow keys do nothing — that is the stream, not the player.

Fixing playback on Windows

  1. Update the browser, then restart it completely.
  2. Try the same channel in a second browser to separate a browser problem from a stream problem.
  3. In your browser's settings, toggle hardware acceleration off, restart, and retest — graphics driver issues often show up as a black player with working audio.
  4. Update your graphics drivers if toggling that setting made a difference.
  5. Check whether security software is filtering browser traffic; some suites intercept media connections.

Fixing playback on macOS

  1. Update the browser, and macOS itself if an update is pending — Safari's media support ships with the system.
  2. If a stream fails in Safari, try Chrome or Firefox on the same Mac. Safari supports a different range of formats.
  3. Check Safari's per-site settings for this site, where auto-play may be restricted more tightly than elsewhere.
  4. Disable Low Power Mode during playback; it can throttle background media.
  5. On Apple silicon, close other video-heavy applications if playback stutters despite a healthy connection.
Safari applies stricter auto-play rules than most browsers. If the player loads but never starts, allowing auto-play for this site in Safari's settings usually resolves it.

Extensions and privacy tools

Ad blockers, script blockers and privacy extensions are one possible cause of streams failing on desktop while the page itself loads normally. They can block the media request without any visible error.

  1. Open the site in a private or incognito window, which normally runs without extensions.
  2. If playback works there, an extension is responsible.
  3. Re-enable extensions one at a time until playback breaks again.
  4. Add an exception for this site in whichever one was responsible.

Clearing site data

When the site behaves inconsistently, clear cached files and site data for this site only, through your browser's site settings, then reload. Doing it per-site avoids signing you out of everything else.

Remember this also clears your saved favorites for this site. Broader symptoms are covered in the troubleshooting guide.
